The tour starts when you are picked up by vehicle at your hotel/residence in Panama City to go to Chagres Park. Upon reaching Chagres Park, you will board a canoe to go to a waterfall in Quebrada Bonita to take a dip. Then you will take the canoe again to go to the Embera village where they will explain their history and traditions. Includes a traditional lunch. The tour ends with your return by car to your hotel / residence around 15:00.

Detailed Description

This tour starts when you are picked up in a vehicle at your hotel or residence in Panama City around 7:00 am to go on a 1-hour trip to Chagres National Park.

Upon arriving at Chagres National Park, your guide will take you to board a canoe (a type of boat made of wood) for approximately 35 minutes until you reach a tributary of the Chagres River called Quebrada Bonita. In this place you will hike through the thick rainforest until you reach the waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip, take photos and relax.

After enjoying the waterfall, you will return to the canoe (a type of boat made of wood) and take you to the Tusipono Embera village where they will receive you with traditional dances and music from the community, they will also tell you the story of their community, they will show you their traditions such as their clothing, language, their types of houses and their paintings.

They will serve you a delicious traditional Embera lunch around 12:00, regularly it is fish accompanied by green fried plantain (patacones). After your lunch they will take you to get to know the community and take photos or make body paintings with traditional community paintings.

You can also buy some handmade crafts by the community if you wish (crafts available for purchase, is not included in the tour price).

After this you will board a canoe to go to the starting point in the Chagres National Park where a vehicle that will take you to Panama City will be waiting for you.

You will be back in a vehicle to your hotel or residence in Panama City around 15:00.

After making your reservation you will have 3 options to choose from to pay the rest of the tour and guarantee your tour for the dates you are interested. The options are:
- Make a local bank transfer 3 days before the tour date to an account that we will send you upon receipt of your reservation.
- Deposit the remaining directly in the bank to the operator's account 3 days before the tour date.
- Pay in cash 2 days before the tour date directly at the operator's offices in Panama City.

After you have made your reservation, we will be sending you the details of the operator's account to deposit the rest of the tour. You can reply to that email which option you will choose to pay the remaining.
