Tortuguero Canals One Day Tour
You will leave your hotel in Cahuita and then you will travel to the dock where you will take the boat that will take you through the channels of the Tortuguero river. In this beautiful opportunity, you can admire animals such as toucans, two-toed sloths, iguanas and monkeys. Then, you will make a short walking tour through the city of Limón where you will learn about their culture and lifestyle. In the end, you will go back to the bus that will return you back to your hotel in Cahuita.

Detailed Description
The Day Tour to Tortuguero offers the opportunity to travel through the canals of this beautiful Amazon for those who do not have enough time to stay in Tortuguero village.
The pick-up time at your hotel in Cahuita is at 8:30 AM to go to the dock of Moín where a native captain/guide will take you for 4-hour guided boat ride through the canals admiring the amazing beauty and enjoying the flora and fauna. You will have a good chance of seeing toucans, Two- Fingered and Three-Fingered sloths, iguanas, Howler and Capuchin monkeys, caimans, crocodiles and many beautiful and exotic birds. Lunch is served on the boat upon reaching the Matina River.
On the return, we will make a short historical city tour in Puerto Limón, port city, capital of the province and of the Afro-Caribbean culture. You will discover its distinctive people, dialect and way of life, the waterfront Vargas Park, the Central Market and the old railways which are the main attractions. In the end, you will return to the same starting point approximately at 4:00 PM.
