Detailed Description

You will be picked up by your luxurious 4WD vehicle at 7:00 AM to head to the beauty of Kalamunda, where the famous Bibbulmun track begins, the Bibbulmun track extends 1000 km in 9 stages and caters for many hikers and mountain bikers. You will travel along the scenic route to Mundaring Weird; You will pass through the beautiful ranges, crossing roads with the electric transmission line. The Mundaring Weir is Perth's main source of drinking water and, as such, water sports are not allowed in it. It is fed by other dams and desalination plants.

We arrive at the famous Mundaring Weir Hotel at 8:15 AM for a coffee break before the dump doors open at 8:30 AM, the Mundaring Hotel is a popular place for weekend motorcyclists to come and spend the night. day and see some of the entertainment that is put on a regular basis. The Mundaring Weir has an important history, including the tragic story of CY O'Connor, the engineer who took his own life because he thought that the pipe he built to send water to the gold fields was a failure. What CY O'Connor did not take into account was the time it would take the water to get to Kalgoorlie about 600 km away, so when they activated the pipe, nothing happened for days, and unfortunately, CY took his life before the water came out the other end. Those who like photography will find in this area a pleasure for some spectacular shots.

Moving away from the Mundaring Dam around 8:45 AM or 9:00 AM we head towards York arriving at 9.45 AM, which is the oldest inland city in Western Australia with many Victorian and Federation buildings, including the old hospital and asylum, which is said to be one of the most haunted establishments in Australia. Many of the 1800's old buildings have been restored and the city is an attractive weekend getaway from the city. From York you will head towards Quairading, turning to Corrigin to stop at a couple of sections of the Rabbit proof fence, the Rabbit proof fence is the longest fence in the world, covering more than 3000 kms. Just before arriving to Corrigin you will have a quick stop at the dog cemetery, which is a tribute to the man's best friend and is still very well maintained by the locals.

Then you will continue through Corrigin and Kondinin to get to Hyden and Wave Rock for lunch around 12:30 PM, which could be at the Hyden Motel or the Wave Rock Cafe. After lunch, you will go to the Wave Rock and you will be able to climb it, it is worth the trip, since it is an incredible place for photos. You will also visit the Hippos Yawn rock formations and the Mulkas Cave during the next hour and a half.

You will return to Perth around 3:00 PM, you will stop at the Hyden motel where you can have a beer, a soft drink or wine, before returning to Perth. You will be back in Perth at 6:00 PM.
