Full Day Tour to Embera Community From Panama City

This tour in the Embera community starts from Panama City and lasts for 8 hours. The tour begins when your guide picks you up at your hotel or residence at 8:00 am to take you to Corotu Port.

Then, in Corotu Port you will board a boat, where you will be given a life preserver and your guide will tell you about the history of this site. There are possibilities that you can see some animals while you make the tour through the Chagres River in the boat that will take you to the Emberá Drua Village.

When you arrive at the village you will be welcomed by the members of the community with a welcome dance, if you wish you can join to dance with them.

Then, they will share with you about their customs and traditions. You will also have the opportunity to buy crafts made by the members of the community and they will invite you to make a temporary painting on your body if you wish, as the Emberás do with a natural fruit called "Jagua". You can take photos and enjoy your passage for 2 hours through the village.

Later, around 12:00 pm you will have time to take your lunch which is regularly fish or chicken accompanied by fried plantains, salad, fruits and a bottle of water. Lunch is included in the tour price. No vegetarian option.

After lunch, you can enjoy a swim in the clear waters of the Chagres River with the locals or if you prefer, you can sit on the shore and relax.

After having enjoyed the river, around 1:45 p.m. you will be returned to the port and from there your guide will take you to your hotel or residence in Panama City where you will arrive around 4:00 p.m.
