This one-day tour to the Embera Community starts when you are collected from your hotel or residence in Panama City. During the 8 hour tour your guide will go with you on a canoe ride, visit the Emberá Community, eat lunch and visit a waterfall. You will forget about the outside world as you immerse yourself in the dances, music and culture. After the tour you will be brought back to your hotel / residence in Panama City.

Detailed Description
This is a wonderful tour to the Emberá community from Panama City. The tour starts when you get picked up from your hotel or residence in Panama City at 8am.
The total duration of the tour is 8 hours. During the day you will go on a 25 minute canoe ride along the Chagres River, during which you will experience the rich and tropical rainforest that surrounds the Chagres National Park where you will find the Embera Community.
The Embera posses incredible botanical knowledge. You will be surprised to learn of their pharmaceutical products. You will be invited to have a painting made on your body, just as the Emberá does, with a natural fruit called “Jagua”. You may also see and purchase the famous crafts made by them.
The day would not be complete without a small hike and a visit to the waterfall “Quebrada Bonita”.
The tour finishes when you are brought back to your hotel or residence in Panama City.

There is a moment when the tour goes by boat towards a waterfall to go on a small walk on it, the guide would go on this walk with you at a pace that is comfortable for you or if you prefer, the guide can do a boat tour around the waterfall with you, so you don't have to walk. It will depend on how it is most comfortable for you.
