Detailed Description
This 2 hour segway tour visits the places where theater, arts and democracy were born. You will learn more about the city of gods and mythical heroes, as you visit the Hill of the God of War, Mars, and the Temple of the God of Fire, Hephaestus.
You will also see the Stoa of Attalos, where the ancient philosophers of Athens used to give lectures and the Theaters of Herodes Atticus and Dionysus, where all the major tragedies and dramas of the past were first performed. And of course, don’t miss out on the opportunity to discover the streets of the picturesque neighbourhoods of Plaka and Monastiraki on the footsteps of the Acropolis, where the heart of Athens beats.
The tour includes visits to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Hill of Mars next to the Acropolis Rock, the Hill of Pnyka with the ancient parliament, the area of Thisseion, the ancient Cemetery of Kerameikos, the Flea Market of Athens, Monastiraki Square, the old town of Plaka, the Ancient Agora and the Roman Market. - Backpacks, large purses, heavy items or bulky bags will NOT fit in the handlebar bags. Please avoid bringing these items on the tour.
Cancellation Policy
Generally, deposits are fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled within 3 days (72 hours) or earlier to the scheduled tour.
There is a limited amount of Segways available for tours. Those who don’t show up are fully charged.
The deposit WILL NOT be refunded for any reason within the last 72 hours before your scheduled tour.
Gift Certificates are not refundable.

What is a Segway?
The Segway is a self-balancing, personal means of transport designed to go anywhere people go. It is not a motorbike it is not a bicycle. It’s a category of its own. You can go fast on pedestrian areas, but it is quite slow for the street.

How does it work?
Easy to use and operate, the two-wheeled Segway has 5 gyroscopes that monitor your balance 100 times a second and automatically respond to your body's movements. To move forward, the rider simply leans forward. To stop or move backwards, the rider leans back slightly. The rider glides smoothly as the Segway senses wherever he/she wants to go. It run with batteries that can last up to approximately 35 Km.

How do I learn to ride a Segway?
You don’t need to have a license to ride the Segway. All Segway riders are obligated to attend an informative session and go through a training in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Riders are trained on safe Segway operation and emergency stops with their escorts in front of our offices until they feel comfortable to use the Segway. Training includes a safety video. Riders will be required to wear a helmet in most locations.
