Detailed Description
Around 5:00 in the morning a vehicle will pick you up at your hotel/residence in Panama City to take you to San Blas. The transport is carried out in a 4x4 vehicle with capacity for 6 passengers plus the driver. On the way to San Blas, the driver will make a stop at a supermarket so you can use the bathrooms and buy something to eat. The trip by car to San Blas is approximately 2 hours.
You will be arriving at the port of San Blas around 8:30 to board the boat that will take you to Cayos Limones where you will complete your registration, you can build your camping tent and you will also enjoy the beach. Remember to bring your camping equipment since this is not included on the tour.
On your first day of stay in Cayos Limones you will have lunch at 12:00. After having lunch, your guide will take you by boat to the Natural Swimming Pool and Perro Grande Island. You will be back in Cayos Limones around 15:00 and you can continue enjoying the afternoon at the beach.
You will have dinner at 18:00. After having dinner, you will spend the night in your camping tent.
On your second day in Cayos Limones, you will have breakfast at 7:00. After breakfast, your guide will take you by boat to Diablo Island and another island to enjoy the beach.
Then, they will take you by boat back to Cayos Limones at 12:00 so you can have lunch. After lunch, you can enjoy the beach in Cayos Limones or you can relax in your camping tent.
You will have dinner at 18:00. After having dinner, you will spend the night in your camping tent.
On your third day in Cayos Limones, you will have breakfast around 7:00. After breakfast you will be asked to leave your camping tent and then your guide will take you by boat to Perro Chico Island, where apart from enjoying the beach, you can do snorkel (masks and snorkel tube are included in the tour price) , this island is known for the sunken ship that is in its waters.
You will be back in Cayos Limones around 12:00. Lunch is not included on this day, but if you like to have lunch, you can ask your guide for it. Lunch prices range between 10 USD to 20 USD per person. If you prefer not having lunch, you can enjoy the afternoon at the beach at Cayos Limones.
Around 13:00 you will have time to change your clothes for your trip back to Panama City. You will board the boat back to the port around 14:30. You will be back at the port at 15:00 to board the vehicle that will take you back to Panama City. You will be back in a vehicle to your hotel or residence in Panama City around 17:00.
Information about meals:
- Breakfast: usually breakfast is, tortillas (fried thick corn dough) or pancakes with eggs or sausages, accompanied by coffee, tea or chocolate.
- Lunch and Dinner: You can choose between the catch of the day (whole fish or fillet), mixed seafood or chicken accompanied by coconut rice, french fries, fried green plantains "patacones" or boiled potatoes (drinks are not included).
Pricing information for children
- Children over 10 years old - They pay the entrance to San Blas and the full tour.
- Children from 5 to 9 years old - They do not pay the entrance to San Blas, but if they pay for the 150 USD tour.
- Children from 0 to 4 years old - They do not pay the entrance to San Blas and do not pay the tour, but they do pay their consumption (food and drinks). If they are not charged by their parents in the vehicle, they pay an additional 40 (USD) for the position in the transport.
Cell phone service:
There is a cell phone service on the island with Digicel, and + Movil. You can buy these chips at shopping centers in Panama City or at the airport.
