Detailed Description
The experience begins with a hearty breakfast in the Northern Sierra of Oaxaca. After breakfast our local botanical expert will meet us and lead us on a hike through the pine and oak forests as we will learn about the medicinal plants found in the area and their practical uses.
Following the hike, we will head to Teotitlan del Valle to meet with our traditional healers and take part in two types of traditional ceremonies - Each person will receive a "limpia" (traditional cleansing), and have an opportunity to take part in a "temazcal" (sweat lodge).
Following this cleansing experience, you will be provided tea and a light lunch before we return to the city of Oaxaca.
