Detailed Description
In a 4 hour tour aboard a water taxi and a 4x4 truck, you will visit remote places where you will appreciate views of the lake, remote islands, and national parks. The meeting point with your guide will be in the Wanaka marina, this tour has 2 hours of departure, at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM and you decide what time is best for you.
Your trip begins at the marina, cruise by boat on Lake Wanaka to Stevenson's Arm which has stunning views of the mountains carved by glaciers. This is a constantly changing view of steep walls and alpine peaks. You will pass Stevenson's Island to our landing point at the foot of Mount Burke, once at this point you will board a 4×4 vehicle to climb over the lake, where you will be able to appreciate an incredible view of the impressive lake, its crystal clear waters and the Alpine peaks of Mount Aspiring National Park. Enjoy a delicious picnic to enjoy nature and the views by the lake in a sheltered spot. At the end of the tour you will return to the same place where you started.
