Detailed Description
Enjoy this incredible half day ecological tour for 4 hours. The meeting point will be at the, Great Sandy Straits Marine to start the tour, through the calm and transparent waters of the Great Sandy Marine Park. You can see the coral gardens from the comfort of Milbi, one of the largest glass bottom boats in Australia.
On the tour they will provide you with the necessary snorkeling equipment that will allow you to have the best experience of being face to face with the endless wonders of the marine park. You will discover the habitat of fish among coral reefs, turtles, dolphins, seabird colonies and possibly a reef or dugong shark. You will also learn about the Aboriginal culture of the local Butchulla people of the region and discover the names and meanings of Butchulla from significant local landmarks.
You will also have time to explore Weenandin (Round Island) and enjoy a healthy lunch. If conditions permit, we can also visit the spectacular Pelicano Banks, famous for their crystal clear waters. Perfect for swimming, or just relaxing on the white sandy beaches. At the end of this wonderful journey you will return to the same place where you started.

Cancellations more than 24hrs notice prior to departure will not incur a fee. Less than 24hrs prior or failure to board, will incur a 100% fee. No refund is given once tour has departed.
Should we need to cancel the tour for any reason, a full refund is given.

What should I expect to see?
As we are entering a marine park, we cannot guarantee what you will see. However, the Great Sandy Marine Park is well known for its abundant marine life including tropical fish, dolphins, dugongs, sea snakes, seabirds, reef sharks and of course turtles.
