Detailed Description
They have been growing and making chocolate in the rainforest of Belize just like their ancestors many hundreds of years ago.
Agouti Cacao Farm visitors can tour and learn about the Maya history of chocolate, see cacao trees, and taste luscious raw cacao beans from colorful pods. Help to roast and grind nature’s treasure with stone tools by participating in our chocolate demonstration and enjoy the distinctive flavor of a healthy dark chocolate drink enjoyed by only the most elite Mayas when their civilization was young!
After lunch, enjoy a short 30 minute ride to a refreshing waterfall in a nearby Maya Village! Look out for birds and other wildlife!
