Detailed Description

From there, you will begin your car ride and pass through Lanjarón and Órgiva, located on the foothill of the Sierra Nevada. Your destination is another, a less crowded route in the heart of the Alpujarra (Sierra Nevada Natural Park).

You will visit Taha de Putres, a municipality made up of seven small settlements, where small medieval footpaths will take you through some of these small villages. They are the best examples of the traditional architecture of the Alpujarra, such as Mecina, Ferreirola, Busquistar and Atalbéitar.

While walking, you will learn the history of the Alpujarra, the characteristics of its urban planning and architecture, natural resources and traditions. You will come across natural water sources, old irrigation channels, traditional public laundries, churches, threshing floors, and ancient chestnut trees and others. At the end of the tour your guide will take you to the same starting point.
