In this 4 hour walking tour you will experience Vienna from another point of view and get a taste of traditional Austrian cuisine. You will begin from Vienna’s city centre and visit the Central Market and eight additional venues that include plenty of food and drink tastings that will give you a taste of the traditional side of Austrian cuisine. The tour ends in Vienna’s City Centre.

Detailed Description
You will meet your guide in Vienna’s city centre and begin your 4 hour tour with coffee. You will experience one of the last traditional cafes remaining in its original state. From there, you will visit a few more places in the surrounding neighbourhoods, which include a stop at the famous Naschmarket where you will taste a variety of Austrian cheese and locally produced vinegar.
Your next stop will be at a “Würstelstand“. You will enjoy traditional sausages and sides. After a short walk you will be ready for a glass (or three) of wine. In the surroundings of a historical cellar you will taste three Austrian wines. Short visits in a typical bakery and an artisan chocolate shop will follow. Finally, you will visit a butcher shop where we will sample Austrian bacon and ham. The tour ends in Vienna’s City Centre.

In case of a cancellation or a no-show Food Tours Vienna has the right to charge a cancellation fee. Food Tours Vienna can calculate the exact lose or choose a fixed rated cancellation fee. They are:
From 30 to 15 days before the settled day: 20 % off the full Contract price.
From 14 to 4 days before the settled day: 50 % off the full Contract price.
From the 3 days of the settled day or by no-show 100% off the Contract price.

Do you cater for special dietary needs?
We are very sorry, but we don´t recommend too book the classic tour in case you are Vegan, if you wish we can organise a meat free tour for you. If you are vegetarian we will find some replacements for the meaty parts for sure.
