Sugarcane and Coffee 3-Hour Tour

This 3-hour tour starts when you are picked up at your Monteverde hotel, or a meeting place that you have agreed with the operator. Then you will arrive to the property of a peasant grandfather who will be teaching you step by step the processes of making coffee since it is sown, when it is harvested and dried.

Then you will enter a traditional kitchen where chefs will explain the processes of toasting, peeling and grinding. When you finish this part of the tour you can enjoy a cup of freshly ground coffee accompanied by a typical snack. From there you will continue your walk until you reach the sugarcane plantation where once again the grandfather will accompany you to teach you how to cut it, later in your journey you will appreciate a milling in a sugar mill that has been used for just over 100 years.

At the end of this tour you will be able to taste the juice of cane, perica and other sandwiches, and then to say goodbye and be returned to the hotel or meeting point agreed beforehand.
