Detailed Description
You will depart at 8:30 AM from outside the Abbey Hotel, 1 North Parade. It is recommended that you arrive 10 minutes early. At this point you will meet your local guide and you will go by mini coach to the first stop at Stonehenge. You can explore the visitor centre and listen to the audio guide and select the language of your choice. You will be able to explore this special site at your own pace for 2 hours.
Next, you will travel to Avebury Stone Circles and get to explore this ancient site with your guide. You will also visit the amazing Silbury Hill, one of the largest in the world, built more than 4800 years ago and the white horse of Cherhill which is more than 300 years old.
Your lunch stop will be at Lacock National Trust Village, where you will be able to visit local pubs or cafes.
Finally you arrive at the most beautiful village in England, Castle Combe in the Cotswolds. This place has been the scene of many films like Stardust, Warhorse, Poirot and many more. You can walk through its beautiful streets and enjoy the view from the market cross .
This tour returns to Bath at approximately 5:30 PM finishing outside the Abbey hotel.
