On this full day tour, you will be transported to the fascinating, pre-historic Stonehenge where you will walk round these ancient and mysterious stones and learn their history. Then, you will enjoy lunch in a beautiful English country inn, visit a moated castle and have afternoon tea in a walled garden. The starting and ending point will be at your accommodation in the city of Bath.

Detailed Description
The tour will begin at 9:00 AM, when you will be picked up from your hotel in Bath, in a comfortable 9-seater van, by your guide for the day.
At Stonehenge, you will be taken by a shuttle bus to the stones where your guide will explain the meaning of the circle and the incredible building and engineering that took place over four thousand years ago . You will learn the history of the area and the connection with the landscape. There is also a very, interesting visitor centre to look round.
After travelling through the beautiful countryside, you will have lunch in a former 15th Century Inn, set in a picturesque village, mentioned in the Domesday Book, with connections to a former Prime Minister, famous poet and nursery rhyme!
You will then visit a French-style, moated castle besieged during the English Civil War, set in a pretty village where there was once a Roman settlement.
Before finishing the tour, you will have afternoon tea in a beautiful walled garden, part of an old monastery. The tour will end at the same starting point at your accommodation in Bath at approximately 5:15 PM.

For inclusive (price per seat) tours, all tours are fully refundable up to one week before the tour. Between seven and two calendar days before the date of a tour a 50% refund is available. Any cancellations made within the two days leading up to the date of a tour are non-refundable.

How fit do I need to be?
All our tour experiences are designed to be as accessible as possible and most people with average or even below average mobility and health should be able to enjoy every part of our experiences. Each one does require a small amount of walking however, so if walking more than a few hundred yards poses a difficulty, please contact us and we can advise you on whether a particular experience is suitable. Of course, we will do our best to accommodate your needs as much as possible.

Do you have wheelchair access?
At this time, we are sorry to say we cannot accommodate wheelchairs unless the occupant is happy to be assisted in and out of the vehicle and their wheelchair can be folded and stored in the rear.
