Detailed Description
The tour begins at The Folly Restautante, 1 Folly Bridge at Oxford OX1 4JU. Where you will meet the local guide, you will board the boat to depart at 12:30 and admire the best landscapes of the city from the different routes of the river.
As a first point, admire the picturesque residential suburbs that are on the way to Binsey and Port Meadow, these have been the sites that inspired writers such as Lewis Corrall, CS Lewis and Evelyn Waugh have created a great legacy in English literature .
Then, going downriver you will meet Christchurch Meadows College, the college regatta course, the College Boat Houses and Folly Island. While you admire the landscapes of the place you will hear the story told by the local guide.
The tour will end at the same starting point, where the local guide can provide you with the necessary information to return to your hotel.
