Detailed Description

The tour starts east of the city of San Jose area, past the Plaza de la Democracia and the National Museum, the Courts, Los Yoses, the Mall San Pedro, the Fuente de la Hispanidad and Headquarters Rodrigo Facio University of Costa Rica.

After passing through the main attractions of the capital, will be the impressive Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and the beautiful National Theater where we will have a tour through these cultural gems.

This building (National Theatre) is the pride of San Jose and was declared a national monument in 1965. Our country is proud to have allocated its limited economic resources in a work of cultural character. It is beautifully decorated with a Renaissance style with several paintings by famous Italian artists.

After this, the tour will take you the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, where the most complete and important collection of pre-Columbian gold objects is displayed. Afterwards, the tour continues to the west of the city through the Metropolitan Park La Sabana, the Costa Rican Art Museum or old control tower first San Jose International Airport, the National Gymnasium, the Comptroller General of the Republic, the area residential Rohrmoser, the Apostolic Nunciature, the home of Nobel Peace prize, Mr. Oscar Arias Sanchez, Rohrmoser Boulevard and Pavas. At the end also you have the opportunity to visit two interesting places to buy a souvenir of your visit to the city of San Jose.

If Sunday is closed the National Theatre will be seen only from the outside and visit the Simon Bolivar Zoo instead.
