Detailed Description
Caja de Muertos Island hosts a beautiful beach with a Blue Flag bordered by crystal clear waters. We can visit the island with our partner or family, invite your colleagues or group of friends and live an adventure in this unique island nature reserve
We begin by visiting The Museum that will allow us to explore the history of the island, beginning with the time when it was used by pirates to hide its treasure, until the times when it served as a meeting place for freemasons. We will also find information about the flora and fauna of the island, including the leatherback turtle and the hawksbill, endangered species that visit the island regularly.
We can also explore the impressive chambers in the Almeida cave. Then, start a hike to the trails that lead to the lighthouse and other views of the island.
On the island we can do other activities such as: snorkeling around the reefs, kayaking, paddle in the crystal clear waters that surround the island.
