Doka State Coffee Tour, Grecia and Sarchi Oxcarts - Private Tour

The tour begins with the pick-up at your hotel in San José at 8:00 AM. Then, you will start a relaxing private trip through the wonderful Costa Rican minivan field for 45 minutes until you reach Alajuela.

On the way, you can admire coffee plantations, sugar cane and citrus. You will arrive at Doka State before you start you will have time to go to the bathroom and take a short break. You will start the coffee tour, you will learn about the seed germination process, the harvesting of the mature grain and you will also learn the history of the farm.

Afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious local lunch before visiting the second plantation. Continuing with the tour, you will travel again in minivan until you reach the town of Greece where you will make a walk with the local guide who will explain to you the history of the place and visit the main places such as the Church of the Mercedes.

Then, you will go to the minivan to move to the next stop. The town of Sarchi, known for being a city of artisans. Here you can learn about the ox cart process and go through the largest cart factory in the country. Finally, you will climb once more to the minivan to travel back to the city of San José where you will end the tour at the same starting point.
