Detailed Description
Departing from the Renfe train station next to the new Bus station in San Sebastián, opposite the Hotel Silken Amara Plaza at 9:00 AM, you will travel in a comfortable car for 2 hours until you reach the heritage of Gastelugatxe. In this city, you can find the Hermitage dedicated to San Juan Bautista. Upon arrival, you will take a short tour of the surroundings of the city until you reach the church of Gastelugatxe built in the 10th century.
The guide will narrate for you the history of the church and fascinating facts about an urban legend that says that if you have arrived at the church and played the bell 3 times a wish will be fulfilled. Then, you will begin to climb the 230 steps until you reach the highest tower where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
Finally, you will prepare to travel back to San Sebastian where the tour ends at the same starting point approximately at 5:00 PM.
