Detailed Description
Enjoy a guided tour of the island Ulva for 4 hours to then board a boat and travel the coast, this tour leaves Golden Bay with your guide, first by the Ulva Island and its open bird sanctuary. Then you will enjoy a pelagic cruise around the Muttonbird Islands to see petrels, shady shearwaters, striking albatrosses, as well as yellow eyed penguins, small blue and Fiordland crests, terns, skua, cormorants and more.
You will be guided by experts from the New Zealand Birdwatching Network with more than 20 years of experience. The sightings include bottlenose dolphins, fur seals and sea lions, the tour is handled in small groups to guarantee a highly personalized visit. The cruise has a bathroom and heated cabin, there is also fresh sweet and complimentary coffee.
The boat is always ready for the maximum visibility of wildlife and photography opportunities, and very close to the birds. Throughout the journey, your expert captain will share your knowledge. In the end, you will return the same place where you started.
