El Trapiche 3-Hour Tour
This 3-hour tour begins when you are picked up at your hotel in the Monteverde area. When you arrive at El trapiche, you will start a tour through the varied fields of the property, where you will harvest sugar cane, oranges, coffee, bananas and other crops. Next, they will show you the coffee making process and that of the Brown Sugar. At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel.

Detailed Description
Spend 3 hours at El Trapiche, a business operated by a local family where you can enjoy a day full of Costa Rican tradition. This tour begins when you are picked up from your hotel, from there you will arrive at the property, the tour of the property begins with a walk through a farm where you can see the plantations that grow sugar cane, coffee and other crops such as bananas, bananas, root vegetables, oranges and more.
Then, it will be explained to you the complete process of coffee processing: drying, grinding, peeling and roasting and finally you can take a cart ride pulled by oxen in the direction of "El Trapiche" where the sugar cane is milled to refine it and transform it in brown sugar. In this same place you will see the "Saca de Guaro" liquor made from sugar cane.
As you pass the tour you will be able to taste several products produced on the farm in addition to a delicious cup of traditional coffee.
