Detailed Description

The starting point will be at the Renfe train station, where we can find the panoramic red double-decker buses that will take us to several squares and promenades scattered around Malaga. We will be able to travel and discover the history, culture and landscapes that the city has to offer. Once we get on the bus we can place the headphones where we will listen to the audio guide in 8 different languages.

The tickets are valid for 24 hours where we will choose the stops and places to visit, the full lap lasts 80 minutes without getting off and if we want to get off we must take into account that the next bus will pass in 30 minutes and after that we can go to another stop, giving us the opportunity to visit the places of our interest without a time limit.

Stop number 1 will be at the Contemporary Art Center, this center has about 400 own pieces and others donated by different institutions. This is the first art center and museum in Spain. Get back on the bus and join us to cross the bridge as we head towards stops 4 and 5, where the Plaza de la Marina and Paseo del Parque are located. This is a good place to get off the bus and take a walk through one of the most picturesque areas of the city. Stop 8 is the wonderful beach of Malaga, where you can feel the fine white sand under your feet and enjoy the views of the deep blue Mediterranean.

In the end, the bus will return to the same starting point.

  1. Will we get to see all the major attractions?

Whilst we do our best to cover all major attractions / tourist sites in a city this is not guaranteed however our tour routes are the most comprehensive way to see towns and cities.

  2. What is the duration of the tour?

Most tours take 1 hour but in major towns and cities they are often longer, up to 2 hours and longer.

  3. What are hop-on hop-off stops?

City Sightseeing tour operate on fixed routes, arranged in such a way they go through key points of interest and attractions in each city. Our hop-on hop-off stops are carefully selected to enable you to visit these places of interest. Simply hop-off at any point and return to the same stop to continue your tour or any other convenient stop on the route.

  4. City Sightseeing buses travel from one city to another?

No. The tours only operate on town or city routes, although a number of tours do include scenic out-of-town trips as part of the tour.

  5. Can I tell which route each bus is on?

Yes. Most tours offer just one route but some offer more than one (often multiple routes are included in the same pricing). If there is more than one route, the bus destination will be displayed on a sign at the front of the bus, indicating which route it is on.

  6. Are tour buses very frequent?

Yes. In major towns and cities, in the summer time, the bus frequency is approximately every 20-25 minutes. Obviously, in winter time, the frequency is reduced.

  7. Do all tours operate all year round?

No. In major cities, tours will operate throughout the whole year (with the exception of selected dates such as Christmas and New Year). Other tours are seasonal, operational seasons are shown on this website.

  8. Can we join the tour at any stop?

Unless otherwise stated on your voucher, as some locations have a central point to exchange your e-voucher for your bus ticket such as London – then yes you are able to board the bus at any stop on the route to begin your tour.

  9. Will we receive a full tour commentary if we join at any stop?

Yes, the tour commentary is associated to the stops, so if you stay on the bus you will always hear the full commentary. All tours have a main departure point usually visibly indicated in the centre of the town or city, often the main bus/rail terminal.

  10. How is it best to use the hop-on and off feature?

If you are unfamiliar with a town or city we recommend you take one complete circuit and listen to the commentary. You can then decide which places of interest you may want to visit, so you can hop-off to see them up-close to then hop back on the bus. You can take as many loops on the bus as you wish within your valid ticket period.

  11. Will we be able to recognise the bus stops?

Wherever possible bus stops will have some sort of signage; the size of the signage will vary from one tour to another however in some cities we are prevented from having bus stop signage by the local authorities. In these cities there will be clear instructions in your tour brochure and the local driver / staff will be happy to assist you.

  12. How long is my ticket valid for?

Tickets are usually valid for 24 hours after redemption of the E-Ticket with the tour operator, but some tours offer 1-day, 2-day and 3-day tickets. If the ticket is a 1-day ticket then it is only valid for the day of the E-Ticket redemption. A 24 hour validity means that the ticket is valid from the time it is redeemed until that same time the following day. The same principle applies for a 2-day ticket and a 3-day ticket. Your E-Ticket is valid and redeemable for up to 3 months as of your booking date. E-Ticket Redemption is as simple as submitting your E-Ticket to the tour operator / bus driver / ticket office in your chosen location . Once redeemed, your Tour Ticket is valid for the period stated on the ticket, for example 1-Day, or 24 hours.

  13. Can I cancel my tickets?

All sales are final and tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded by City Sightseeing
