4x4 Baru Volcano Experience

This 4x4 experience to the Baru Volcano is a shared tour. To start the tour, you must go on your own to Plaza Los Establos in Boquete, in front of the Handicraft Market. In Plaza Los Establos you will be picked up by a 4x4 vehicle at 3:30am, the vehicle will be identified with the company logo (details sent by email after booking). In the plaza, there are free secure parking lots where you can leave your car parked to start the tour.

After picking you up at Plaza Los Establos, you will begin your transfer to the peak of the Baru Volcano, the highest point in Panama. The transfer to the peak takes about two hours, and on the way, the guide will tell you some important anecdotes about the Baru Volcano.

You will arrive at the peak of the Baru Volcano approximately at 5:20am. You can enjoy amazing panoramic views including the view of the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean and your guide will tell you about curious facts about the formation of the Baru Volcano, its craters and volcanic activity.

Next, you will have breakfast at 7:00am. Breakfast is included in the price of the tour and within the breakfast options are Sandwiches, Granolas, Coffee or Chocolate. There is also a gluten-free breakfast and a vegetarian option. If you want a gluten-free or vegetarian breakfast, you must notify us after you make your reservation.

At approximately 7:20am, after having enjoyed your breakfast, you will descend from the peak in the 4x4 vehicle to return to Plaza Los Establos. While descending through the Baru Volcano, you will be able to observe the diversity of flora and sometimes some animals and birds such as the Quetzal. You will be back at the plaza around 9:00am.
