Panama Wonders Day Pass

In this Panama Wonders shared Day Pass, you will visit some of the places of great tourist attraction in Panama. To start the tour, your driver will pick you up between 7:15 and 7:30am at your hotel in Panama City. Next, you will be transferred to the Agua Clara Panama Canal Locks Visitor Centre (Colón) 1 hour from Panama City. The entrance to the Agua Clara locks Visitor Centre is included in the tour price.

Upon arriving at the Agua Clara locks, you will be presented the history of the construction of the Panama Canal in a 12-minute short film. You will have access to the viewpoint, where you can observe the passage of a ship through the locks. Your guide will always be with you giving you information about the Panama Canal.

Your next visit will be to the Fort of San Lorenzo in Colón, one of the oldest Spanish fortresses in America. There, your guide will tell you about the history of the place and you will have time to take photos.

After your visit to the Fort of San Lorenzo, you will be transferred to the Meliá Hotel, where you will have lunch. The lunch is included in the tour price and includes an appetizer, a non-alcoholic drink, a main course and a dessert. The menu may vary, regularly the menu options are chicken, fish, beef or pork accompanied by rice, salads and some other options.

After enjoying your lunch, you will be transferred to the hotel pier to board the boat that will take you to the Embera Nepono Puru indigenous community. The transfer by boat from the pier of the Hotel Meliá to the Emberá community, takes approximately 15 minutes.

You will arrive at the Emberá community approximately at 12:45 pm. You will be welcomed by the locals with music and they will take you to the “Big House” (Casa Grande). There, they will show you their costumes and they will tell you about their culture and customs. Next, you will be able to buy crafts made by the locals and you will have time to tour the community and observe the homes and lifestyle of the Emberá Nepono Puru community.

At the end of tour at the Emberá community, you will board the boat again to return to the Meliá Hotel. On the way back to the hotel, you will do an eco-boat tour on the Gatun Lake. During the eco-boat tour, you will be able to appreciate in the surroundings of the lake, the diversity of flora and some animals such as monkeys and iguanas. Your guide will be providing you with interesting information about how the Gatun Lake emerge and the species that you see along the boat trip.

You will be back at the hotel dock approximately at 3:00 pm and you will be taken to the hotel so you can enjoy its facilities. You can go hiking, kayaking or if you prefer, you can relax at the pool for the rest of the afternoon. Hiking, kayaking and swimming pool are included in the tour price, just let your guide know which you would like to do when you get back to the Meliá Hotel.

Finally, at 6:00 pm you will be taken back to your hotel in Panama City and you will arrive at your hotel approximately at 7:30 pm.
